The HP Deskjet 2600 is widely recognized as HP’s most affordable wireless all-in-one printer. It is specially designed for the occasional home user and can print, scan and copy. With the wireless connection built into the printer, you can easily connect your devices wirelessly and print anywhere in your home.

Best of all, the printer offers great value for money and customers like the ease with which they can get prints from their mobile devices. The user interface is simple to use. You can also manage the printer from your mobile device. The printer has a fairly simple, attractive housing.

There is a flatbed scanner on the top and an LCD control panel to the left of it. This is where the printing, scanning and copying functions are operated.

There are buttons to enable, cancel, set up Wi-Fi, information, color copy and black and white copy, but more complex controls can be performed remotely using the web admin panel or the HP mobile app.

The small LCD screen shows the current status of the device, including the level of the ink cartridges, the Wi-Fi signal quality and the status of the print job. The paper feed tray is located at the rear and holds up to 60 sheets of standard paper.

The front output tray holds up to 25 sheets of standard paper. No USB cable is included. This is to be expected with an ultra-budget printer such as the HP Deskjet 2600 series.

However, it does come with a full set of standard ink cartridges that are expected to print around 120 black pages or 100 color pages. The low price of the printer does not mean that the print quality suffers. Get great prints from the printer.

Black and white text documents are razor sharp and color images are brilliant. With the best print quality, the printer has a print resolution of 1200 x 1200 dots per inch for black and white documents. However, color photo prints up to 4800 x 1200 dpi are best when printing from a computer.

The Deskjet series prints are fast enough for home use. It is suitable for student projects, occasional photo printing, and printing receipts and invoices from a small home office. For black and white or color printing, expect print speeds of approximately 5.5 pages per minute.

When you print in draft quality, the printer spits out an average of 7.5 pages per minute. HP recommends printing between 50 and 100 pages per month.

However, if required, the HP Deskjet 2600 can handle up to 1,000 pages per month. With HP Wireless Connect and apps for smart devices, the printer is one of the easiest printers to set up.

Apple AirPrint is supported and the HP All-in-One Printer Remote app allows you to send and receive scans directly to your mobile device.
