The HP ENVY 4522 concept is aimed at residential users and offers multifunctionality for printing, copying and scanning tasks in environments with a small but varied workload. The flat construction adapts well to limited space conditions and can also be placed on a shelf with its compact dimensions.
WLAN connectivity offers additional flexibility when choosing a spot in the small office. The printer properties run at a resolution of up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi, 9.5 black and white or 6.8 color pages per minute. Print media is automatically fed on both sides from a 100-sheet cassette.
The paper management capacity is set to a low print volume of 100 to 400 pages per month and is optionally not expandable. The print function uses three colors in two cartridges, with the disadvantage that the color cartridge must be replaced when only one of the cyan, magenta or yellow colors is used up.
A special feature is the full-surface borderless printing; For good results when printing photos, HP requires the use of select internal photo papers. On HP ENVY 4522 there is no fax, a memory card reader and a USB port for reading photos directly with a digital camera or USB stick.
The printer has WLAN for this. This way you can wirelessly send the snapshot taken with the smartphone to the printer.
Of course, this also works without a PC – ideally via the HP ePrint app, which can also be used to send scanned documents the other way around to the smartphone (scan-to-phone function). The PC can also connect wirelessly to the HP ENVY 4522 via WLAN via the home router.
