Under the hood is a high-speed printing unit that can process 25 color or black and white pages per minute in draft mode. In terms of design quality, you have to settle for faded colors and some frayed text, otherwise the print quality is very good.
Borderless printing was neglected by the manufacturer. The quality of the prints, scans and copies is more than sufficient for everyday office life. The text prints have good black coverage but could have used some sharper letter edges.
The color prints again have a good, sometimes almost too strong coverage. The scans are sharp, their colors are harmonious, although blues and reds are a bit exaggerated.
Here you have to make the detour via the paper format “edge to edge A4”, but this is not possible for smaller formats. With the included Iris OCR software, documents can be scanned into an editable RTF format.
In addition to automatic double-sided printing, the HP Officejet Pro 276dw also offers a duplex ADF, which offers many copy options.
The initial setup must be performed with the supplied setup ink cartridges, after which XL cartridges can be used, which keep the page price pleasantly low.
In addition to USB, the printer also offers LAN and WLAN connections with Internet options and does not need to be directly connected to the PC.
