Frankly, pretty much everything about this HP ENVY 5663, from the 125-sheet input tray to the 25-sheet output tray, and everything in between, suggests low volume, starting with the lack of an automatic document feeder at the top of the scanner.

Instead, it has a single-sheet handheld scanner, which makes scanning longer documents (e.g. two or three pages) tedious and time-consuming to copy or scan.

And it gets worse, much worse, if the original document being scanned is also double-sided (in addition to multiple pages). The printer’s appeal stems from its small and somewhat modern design.

At one time, HP’s “Envy” label was reserved for slightly fancy products, computers and printers.

This HP ENVY 5663 is approximately 18 inches wide and 16.1 inches front to back and has a relatively small footprint, which means it should fit snugly on your desk, and at just 6.3 inches high, it would fit perfectly under (or inside) should fit hanging shelves.

As for paper handling, as mentioned, the printer has a 125-sheet input tray on the underside of the front of the chassis; Inside you will find a photo paper insert that can hold up to 15 sheets of 4×6 inch premium photos.

Output quality? It was ok, not much to say here. If you don’t plan on printing too much with it, say no more than 50 to 100 pages, with the HP Instant Ink program, this e-All-in-One electronic printer is a reasonable alternative to buy Use a low yield in tanks that print color pages 2 to 3 times longer.

At least the HP ENVY 5663 supports Wi-Fi, which in addition to USB should make it easier to find a simpler location, and you can print without a PC, from the front of the printer, from an SD card.

You can perform these and other access options from the front of the device via the 2.7-inch color LCD touchscreen.

Like most HP printers, it has cloud options, including the HP Printer Apps feature, which lets you print and scan from literally hundreds of participating sites, including CNN, Disney, and countless business form repositories.

and sites with legal documents. In addition, this Envy supports various connectivity options for mobile devices, such as printing via Google Cloud Print, Apple AirPrint, Wi-Fi Direct and many others.
