HP has made a lot of changes to the printing unit: instead of the previous 30 ipm in color and black and white, the newly introduced model achieves 41 ipm in A4 printing.
By cleverly turning the paper inward, the duplex speed does not drop. The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M751dn does not provide speed specifications for printing on A3 media.
The newcomer is designed for a monthly print volume of up to 40,000 pages (in A4), with sporadic loads of up to 150,000 pages possible. The imaging drum is still natively scanned at 600 x 600 dpi resolution.
On the other hand, HP has increased the RAM from one to 1.5 GB with an option up to 2 GB in total. Multiple print jobs that arrive at the printer at the same time can also be temporarily stored on an optionally available hard disk.
As standard, the printer offers a paper tray for up to 550 sheets of plain paper (up to A3 at 80g/m²) and a manual feed for up to 100 sheets. There is also the option of an additional 550-sheet tray.
In addition to the addition of an HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M751dn unit with two more standard cassettes and a base cabinet or alternatively a large capacity magazine with space for 1,600 and 1,100 sheets.
Media in the range from 60 to 256 gsm can be handled in all cassettes. Media up to 300 gsm thickness are also possible for manual feeding. Duplex printing from all feeders is a standard feature.
HP sets the output capacity to a maximum of 250 sheets. As a device for use in a professional environment, the Laserjet can process PCL versions 5 and 6, Postscript (HP implementation) and files in PDF format directly.
The printer can be connected via USB or integrated directly into the network (up to Gigabit / Fast Ethernet 10/100/1000). However, WiFi is only available as an option.
However, the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M751dn can generally be accessed on the network via Airprint, Mopria, or Google Cloud Print.
A 6.9 cm small color display with tilt function and 24-key pad is integrated for operation and management. Also on the back are two host USB ports and a solution module installation slot (HIP2). There is another host USB port on the front.
