The revised version of the HP Sprocket has received a facelift, especially in the case design. Unlike other portable photo printers, the physical size of the HP Sprocket 200 is very small. You can even easily put it in your pocket, since this printer only weighs 170 grams.
Following its small physical size, the printer prints photos at 2 x 3 inches (5 x 7.6 cm). The technology used is ZINK Zero Ink. So there is no ink to fill. You can use photo paper in particular. A refill pack contains 20 sheets of photo paper. You can also print on stickers.
There is one protrusion in the printer for performing photo printing. Print colors are not always the same as on screen. Can only be used from a smartphone. Ideal for creative projects or making wedding/anniversary keepsakes, travel diary. Technically, not too much has changed.
You should not expect high-quality photos here. The ZINK paper used does not require additional ink and is also smudge resistant, but only produces images with mediocre colours. Red tones and skin tones in particular look pale. Paper installation is also very easy.
You just need to slide the cover dominated by the HP logo and load the paper. The little device can run on batteries and get photos that can be printed directly from the mobile phone or PC via Bluetooth. After 10-15 prints, the HP Sprocket 200 must be reconnected to power.
No cables when printing. You only need a MicroUSB cable to charge the battery. Printing from a mobile phone is very easy. You only need to install the HP Sprocket app available on Google Play or the App Store.
Then connect the phone to the printer using a Bluetooth connection. Once connected, all you have to do is select a photo to print using the HP Sprocket application.
The photos that can be selected are not only limited to the photos stored on the mobile phone, but also on social media.
From our experience of using it, this application is quite simple. However, if you have chosen to print one photo, it will be a bit difficult to cancel it.
